  The lull in Covid cases gave us a little respite, and we celebrated in style.

• May 2020 Farewell and graduation party for Nathan Taitano

  Nathan moved with the lab from Ohio State University to UGA and has now completed his PhD! He has taken a job with BASF in the Sacramento area. Unfortunately, we were  not able to host a real party due to the pandemic.

• January 2020

  The lab celebrates the publication of a nice paper on the domestication of tomato from our collaborators Ana Caicedo and Hamid Razifard! A link to the UGA press release, the NSF press release, and the U Mass press release.

• August 2019

  Farewell and graduation party for Carmen Kraus who received her Masters in our lab and Gaetan Moine who is returning home to Toulouse to finish his degree at ENSAT.

  

  

• May 2019

  Farewell and graduation party for two amazing undergrads in our lab: Sarah Houtsma and Shamir Harry.
  Sarah will be staying in the south as the greenhouse manager at Copiana Aeroponics in Atlanta whereas Shamir will be leaving the south for a research technician position at the Jackson Laboratory in Maine. Make us proud!

  

  

• April 2019 Athens Twilight 5K

  The lab participated in the 40th Athens Twilight event on April 27 2019. We’re all winners because we started and finished the 5K run.

  Graduate student Shan Wu’s paper is published in Nature Communications!!

  

  

• August 2018 Alexis graduation party!!

  Alexis finished his Masters in true Cuban style, with cigars and rum colas.
